My mom taught me to sew.
I would draw clothing designs on paper.
I am surrounded by art.
My Mom is an Artist (acrylics, charcoal) and she Belly Dances.
What inspired you to get into fashion design?
I like to look a certain way , dress a certain way, and stand out.
My mom makes allot of costumes for dance or Halloween.
She sews gifts for family too.
I watch her draw out her designs , make the patterns herself, and then make the costume's.
So I would draw a design on paper then ask my mom to sew it!
After she taught me how to sew I started making my own clothes--mostly adding on to things.
Here is a sample of a drawing I did when I was really young. My Mom took me to the fabric store and let me pick out the fabric. Then she worked her magic with the sewing
machine!
